San Salvador, 31 mar (PL) La Procuradora salvadoreña de los Derechos Humanos, Beatrice de Carrillo, criticó hoy la actuación del Tribunal Supremo Electoral (TSE) en las recientes eleciones municipales.
De Carrillo dijo que el TSE defiende los intereses partidarios más que los del ciudadano y promueve la violencia social.
La defensora del pueblo llamó al TSE a no vincular su actuación a las formaciones políticas, sino a realizar importantes y profundas reformas para garantizar y respetar la voluntad popular.
La funcionaria enfatizó que el TSE aún está muy lejos de solucionar de manera institucional los antagonismos políticos e ideológicos del país.
Al hacer una valoración sobre los procesos electorales indicó que todavía falta mucho para conformar un registro confiable de personas.
La Procuradora consideró como una necesidad hacer reformas profundas y rápidas al TSE, por no contribuir a la consolidación de la institucionalidad en la nación.
Concluyó que se debe transformar al máximo órgano electoral y controlar las actuaciones tanto de los partidos como de las instituciones involucradas en los comicios.
